Come melt for a moment in this winter solstice yoga workshop
at St Werburghs Community Centre, Bristol
Held in the soft glow of a December evening and surrounded by warm hearts and nurtured souls, this community session is designed to bring a tingle to your toes and a lightness to your being. With the heartfelt intention that you’ll find yourself floating out of the door and into your weekend, all grounded and set for the Christmas rush.
This workshop invites you to sink into some deep nurture, sustenance and replenishment as we honour the darkness and welcome light back in with the coming of winter solstice.
What We’ll Share During The Session
✨ Introduction to Winter Solstice, its Meaning and its Magic
✨ Replenishing Movement and Breathwork Session
✨ Cacao Ceremony Followed by Journaling Practice
✨ Yin Yoga
✨ Guided Meditation
Movement and Breath
As you physically flow with movement, you encourage energy to move through body, mind, and spirit, relieving tension and the build-up of discomfort or unease and releasing stagnant energy.
Let your body guide you to a place of connection to yourself, ready to listen, heal, nourish and expand.
Cacao Ceremony & Journaling
This workshop is lovingly designed to feed your soul this Christmas.
Following a nurturing yoga session, we’ll share cacao as a ceremonial nod of gratitude to the richness of this time of year, then open up our journals and gaze a little deeper into the soul to access that wild heart and its messages.
Cacao is considered a superfood and is an ancient ceremonial drink. It is seen as the ultimate heart-opener.
We’ll use the magic of this ancient ritual to give gratitude, set intention, and commence our journaling session together with open hearts.

I found the workshop great and it had a huge impact upon me. Even today I feel kind of fragile/vulnerable and so attached with what you said...Thanks for that it is a very interesting feeling..
With your examples and your words you touched something inside me and had some emotions coming out during the workshop which was great and so releasing

It was truly so lush, I even got a bit teary at the end of the first yoga practice and it was great to move those emotions through. I got so much out of the journalling session as well, I often struggle with those kinds of questions but the way you explained everything just worked so well for me. Please do more of them in the future
Who am I?
Ah, one of the more interesting questions in life :) I’m Becky, I am a certified yoga facilitator, massage therapist, aerialist, blogger and energy worker. I have a degree in anthropology which informs my understanding of people on a holistic and evidence based level and underpins my work toward positive change.
I have taught in multiple capacities - in studio, 121, online, at yoga teacher training courses, events, rebellions, hen do’s - the lot!
I have been practising yoga daily for more than 9 years and it is safe to say it is a gift that will be with me for life. Yoga was integral to a time of deep positive change and continues to support me along every step of this beautiful tapestry of ups and downs we call life.
My work is in inspiring self-worth, self-compassion and deep inner-strength. My research is informed by disciplines of positive psychology, self-compassion studies, shadow work and my offerings shaped around student feedback and scientific research.
What is clear, is that we all have the tools already inbuilt to be content and balanced. Our minds and bodies are fully equipped to self-regulate and manage trauma. The problem we face as a global race is that we have lost connection to our source, ourselves and each other. We live in a society that does not promote preventative and self healing practices. It is time to evolve from dependency, to empowerment and the freedom of self-reliance.
I believe that positive change comes from within. First we must find love and contentment inside ourselves, then we can offer our light and talents as meaningful contributions toward a balanced, positive and inclusive future.
